About Us
The Armed Forces Retirees Association is a 501(c)19 veteran service organization. Incorporated in June of 2018, AFRA was created by military retirees to serve military retirees and their surviving spouses and to support veterans. AFRA's mission is focused: To protect and defend the earned benefits of all military retirees and their surviving spouses and to protect veterans on Capitol Hill and elsewhere. We accomplish this mission through active advocacy on Capitol Hill and through participative collaboration with numerous associations within the military and veteran service organization community in Washington, D.C. and elsewhere.
AFRA is a proud member of the National Military and Veterans Alliance (www.nmva.us), a non-partisan advocacy alliance composed of numerous military and veteran service organizations in the greater Washington, D.C. area.
